Already own a domain through Namecheap?
Great! With about.me Pro, you can bring your Namecheap domain to about.me and connect it to your about.me page in just 5 simple steps.
Step 1
Log in to your Namecheap account at namecheap.com. If you're already logged in, simply click the small white triangle next to your account name, up in the left-hand corner next to "SUPPORT." Then, click on "Dashboard."
Step 2
Under "Recently Active in Your Account" you'll see your domain, and on the far right, a gray drop-down box that reads "VERIFY CONTACTS." Click the drop-down arrow and then click "Manage." Click the "Advanced DNS" tab on the far right.
Step 3
In your Advanced DNS, you'll see 2 entries under "HOST RECORDS." Here's where things can get a little bit tricky, so follow along with the example below and make sure all of your values match what you see in the recording.
A. For the first entry, CNAME Record, keep "www" under "Host," and replace the placeholder domain under "Value" with your Namecheap domain -- double check your spelling!
B. Switch the value under "TTL" to "Automatic."
C. For the second entry, change the "Type" to "A Record" by clicking on "URL Redirect Record" and scrolling up in the list.
D. Then, copy and paste 52.2.64.1 under "Value." (Copy and paste that number just as it is - be sure there are no extra periods at the end).
E. Switch the value under "TTL" to "Automatic."
F. Click "SAVE ALL CHANGES."
(Pay particularly close attention to the CNAME and A Records -- there should be no other IP addresses or records in this view.)

Step 4
Head back to your about.me page to check to make sure everything is connected properly.
Step 5
You're all set. Go to your new domain and check out how beautiful your new page is. Just a reminder that your domain may take up to 48 hours to fully connect.
