When you purchased your paid plan, if you chose a domain from our list instead of choosing a domain you purchased from another registrar, you cannot map or point that same domain to a different website, such as one built on Squarespace, Weebly, or WordPress, while you still have an active paid plan.
If you would like to map the domain you purchased from about.me to a different website, you would have to cancel your paid plan with about.me.
A couple of important points to consider for this option:
If you cancel your paid plan and domain through about.me, your domain will enter a holding period of about 60 days, during which that domain cannot be purchased by anyone.
Once the 60 days have passed, the domain can be purchased by anyone.
If you'd still like to gain ownership of your domain to edit the DNS or other records, please submit a ticket to cancel your domain and paid plan.
