Already own a domain through Google?

Great! With about.me Pro, you can bring your Google domain to about.me and connect it to your about. me page in just 5 simple steps.

Step 1

Log in to your Google account and go to domains.google.com.

Step 2

Next to your domain, click on the icon under "DNS" (3rd one over πŸ˜‰)

Step 3

Once in your DNS settings, you'll want to scroll all the way down to "Custom resource records." Here's where things can get a little bit tricky, so follow along with the example below and make sure all of your values match what you see in the recording.

A. Copy and paste 52.2.64.1 in the box where it says "IPv4." Then, click "Add." (Copy and paste that number just as it is -- be sure there are no extra periods  at  the end)

B. Type "www" into the first box where you see "@," click the drop-down box to change the "A" to "CNAME" and type your Google domain in the box that says "Domain name." Then, click "Add."

(Pay particularly close attention to the CNAME and A Records -- there should be no other IP addresses or records in this view)

Step 4

Head back to your about.me page to check to make sure everything's connected properly.

Step 5

You're all set! Go to your new domain and check out how beautiful your new page is 😎If it's not working yet, go eat a delicious sandwich, take a walk, pet your dog, and then come back πŸ˜‰ Just a reminder that your domain may take up to 48 hours to fully connect.
